In the frame of the PHINDaccess (Pathogen-Host INteraction Data access), an H2020-European Commission-funded project, the Institut Pasteur de Tunis (IPT) has recently acquired a new bioinformatics infrastructure. Such an infrastructure, which has benefited of a special financial support by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, includes High performance capacities (HPC) servers:
- 1 master server
- 4 high performance computing nodes
- A high memory server
- A storage server
- A back-up server
This infrastructure is currently being installed and configured by the PHINDaccess system administrator with the help of Workpackage 3 (WP3) members. Thanks to this new acquisition, IPT researchers will be able to pursue the main objectives of PHINDaccess in that they will increase their capacities to analyze infectious diseases-related Omics data using a performing and secure material that meets international standards.
PHINDaccess WP3 is led by Dr. Kais Ghedira, laboratory of bioinformatics, biomathematics and biostatistics at IPT.
The aim of this WP is to reinforce IPT’s biocomputing environment and facilities
for a fluent Omics data stewardship.
