WP2. TRAINING AND MENTORING OF IPT’S EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS: TOWARDS EXCELLENCE AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS
WP leader, Helmi Mardassi, IPT
The main objective of WP2 is to enhance IPT’s capacity in Omics-based PHI-related research themes by creating a sustainable and attractive mentoring and training ecosystem for young researchers (Post-doctoral fellows (ER) and early stage researchers (ESR)). Achievements of WP2 tasks will ultimately allow creating a dynamic and interactive research environment promoting scientific exchange, international networking, excellence, and hence increased visibility for IPT.
Such curriculum is designed to provide a robust and coherent portfolio of a training program to upgrade skills in current PHI Omics research. This WP will use an innovative approach that will consist in a non-linear training model (Figure 5), where each training activity will be designed independently, allowing each trainee to adapt the curriculum to its own background skills and research needs. Trainings will cover all key aspects including ethics and regulatory issues, data management and analysis, as well as advanced integrative approaches.Overall these trainings will definitely help leverage the outputs of IPT’s warning system based on KPIs.
