Slurm into practice

Initiation to SLURM

Slurm is an open source fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cluster management and job scheduling system for large and small Linux clusters. Slurm as a job scheduler is responsible for listening to job requests, then finding the proper compute node that meets job’s resource requirements including RAM, number of cores, time, etc. Slurm dispatches jobs to a compute node, collects info about the completed work, and stores information about jobs.
