The PHINDaccess project organizes its third hackathon on “Genomic variability investigation of the MonkeyPox virus through comparative and phylogenetic analysis”, on July 7th-8th, 2022 at the Institut Pasteur de Tunis.
This hackathon consists of the analysis of OMICs data available in public databases for the Monkey Pox viral genome through comparative genome analysis to study the mutation acquired by the virus and its evolution through time.
Participants to this hackathon are expected to develop bioinformatics pipelines related to:
MonkeyPox comparative genome analysis of publicly available data as well as the study of the phylogeny of the virus and its transmission routes through time.
And apply what they have learned in the frame of the PHINDaccess WP2 course series on real OMICS data to solve intriguing biological questions.
This hackathon is restricted to the young researchers previously selected from IPT's research labs involved in the PHINDaccess training courses.
