The PHINDaccess project organizes a workshop entitled “How to bring your your research projects closer to Society?”. This workshop will be held in Tunis on July 18-20, 2022. It is organized by the Institut Pasteur de Tunis and the Centre for Genomic Regulations

This event will be split into 2 parts.

The first one is dedicated to Science Communication (July 18-19, 2022)
In this workshop designed by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), you will learn how to communicate your complex research projects to the general public, and practice how to bring your science to life using simple, but strong storytelling techniques like metaphors. The ability to command core science communication tools will leave your audience spellbound; be it when you are giving a talk, or simply explaining your research to your friends or family members. In addition, you will also learn how to deal with a stage fright when presenting to a bigger crowd of people. This very practical hands on training will prepare you how to be a confident science communicator and to be ready to hit the stage without any fear.

The second one is dedicated to Citizen Science (July, 20, 2022)
In this workshop designed by Institut Pasteur de Tunis (IPT) and Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), you will discover the different types of Citizen Science projects and the levels of involvement of the public in research projects. You will exchange with actors of concrete citizen Science projects. Finally, you will design a Citizen Science Project based on concrete needs, using specific méthodologies.
